Of course, and remember, Team Instinct has been organized for months, consisting of the very biggest whales in the game. Each of their members probably has at least 10 tier IX , even a X or two by now, and the rest of their collections look similar to mine. Just about all of them. Cension had mentioned somewhere once that he heard Instinct took a member with only two 7* characters. I don't believe it. Maybe they did back in December when having two 7* characters was pretty cool.
If they pull it off, I will be among the first to congratulate them, because even with that roster, it would be an impressive victory if this is as hard as i think it will be. And remember, if they do manage to pull it off, we're not in their league, and may never be, if they're completing T7s every 2-3 days, and like the rest of the guilds, we're stuck on T6s for the foreseeable future. Don't for one moment think that we can do it, just because they can.

I agree, I'm betting 15 gear ix/x chars per person at the bottom end of the guild will be required. Another 2 months for us to take him down. I think they will release about a Raid every month or two with them continuing to get harder so this one can't be the worst unless this is the only raid before the level cap.
If not I suspect the way this raid becomes doable for the masses is when the cap goes to 90 raid difficulty stays constant and a new tougher raid is brought in its place.

I was thinking about that too, and yeah, when we're all 90s with stronger collections, we should be able to handle T7, no problem, because it was designed for 80s. But by then T8 raids will be introduced, designed for level 90s, to keep TI (and anyone else in their league) ahead of the pack.
Remember, the tier descriptions do say that T7 is for "only the most elite guilds, working together with their mightiest squads". That implies they only want the top 2 or 3 guilds to be able to finish it. Do you think TI would be very happy if 10 or 20 guilds could do it, simply becasue CG made it too easy?
T7 was designed for Team Instinct, and only Team Instinct, or maybe 1 or 2 other guilds, to be able to finish.

But on the positive side, I do think we're near the top of 2nd tier Guilds (1st tier is TI and anyone that can rival them). The most important thing is that we stay ahead of the competition on our servers. I think we as a guild are very well situated to do that for our members! I will only get upset if they start merging arena servers and we have to fight with multiple TI players in the same payout times. But then again, it's just 5v5, so even if they have a massive collection of formidable characters, it won't give them an advantage if your 5 are equally developed.

I'd agree with that! Arena payouts are so important that a leg up from raiding sounds great to me.

The guild that took 2 7* was Sinister Alliance or something like that
Even back in December iNstinct would probably want 20+ 7*...you can just buy 'em up after all
Devs said they'll never merge servers (pray they don't alter the plan)
Much easier for whales to max everything out because you can buy full gear pieces, which were one of the only limiting factors
I think after we do a little pruning, we'll be right up there with iN...if a guild of top-ranking moderate P2P can't do it, i.e. if it's gonna be a General Grievous-type thing, I don't think many people will be thrilled...but it's not impossible
With thousands of guilds, I think the top 1% being able to clear it seems reasonable...even for EA

Talkying about the strength of other guilds on your leaderboard, you can get a pretty good impression about this by checkjng how much guild currency they made on the first day, as this is a good indicator of which tier they completed. For my leaderboard (end of December), I can say that most did not clear tier VII the first day.

Open Arena Ranks, click a player and in line 6 of their stats, it displays Total Guild Currency Earned. These are the personal coins they earned doing dailies. If that number (or that number ÷ number of days since guild launch) is over 600 per day, chances are, their guild is hitting T7. That applies to top arena rankers. Lower arena ranks could just be smaller numbers because they landed lower on the daily contribution leaderboard.

Yeah, I guess my leaderboard might not be the most competitive out there, most others in the top 20 were below 300 guild currency. But maybe it is just the first day, where everybody still needs to get organized. I guess not everybody has such strong recruiters as Cension and Worban. That was quite a feat to recruit the last members on the first day.

Of course, as zzart said, this in only an "impression" of how they're doing. A low score doesn't necessarily mean they're not htting it. Top ranking arena members with low scores could be little fish in very big ponds.
It's safe to say, if someone's line 6 averages to 600+ per day, that guild is definitely hitting T7 every day.
If someone's average is in the 500s per day, chances are good, their guild is hitting T7.
Check multiple top players from the same guild, if available, to help get a better impression of how a guild is doing.

Following up, and to give us a decent idea of where we stand against our competition: On my server is the strongest member of FTB Elite guild #2: FTB Overseer. He joined them back in Jan. They also reached T7 in daily contribution on the first day. He is only Level 77 at the time of this writing, and his collection is no more impressive than most of our members.
