Does expose do anything actually on the captain? Won't remove 20% health I guess

I can confirm that the speed down from phasma was helpful. Just need to get it down before the taunts.

Wait, so we started a raid? I was at work all night until just now. I thought we were going to co-ordinate start times so everyone was aware?

Doesn't matter because it runs until we finish it

I'm not sure how expose worked on him. Definitely wasn't 20%

Doesn't matter because it runs until we finish it Oh, I thought it was on a 24 hour timer. So just character refreshes are on the 24 hour timer?

Yes, and the refresh is the same for everyone (1 am eastern time, 10h 49m from time of this post)

Worban Sorry had to delete that...this is a public thread so I wouldn't want people getting the wrong idea... Updated the OP with the latest info I've been hearing from people. Hopefully, it helps more than it misleads people. Would loved to have more meaningful attempts from which to glean info

And that's my point Cension. Those of us who can actually throw more than 1 or 2 viable teams against the Captain were really screwed over focusing on Brute first. That trick works just once or twice and only with the right teams. You would have discovered that quickly had you tried with another strong team, without buff dispel. Once you start playing a wider variety of characters, the tactics change up, quite a bit, depending on your team.
For instance, let's say someone's got a strong Droid team. Massive burst damage right? Pouring it all into Brute first would be the worst option of the three. You could probably put that Guard down, before he's had a chance to move. Or Hell, I might even suggest just dumping all initial burst damage straight into the captain. We're all suicide squads, after all, might as well make it count.
Thanks for updating, because following that portion of the guide really messed me up on my 2nd and 3rd runs, with strong characters that could've done some pretty good damage against the Captain, had they not focused on the wrong mob (for their skillset), starting out.
I don't mind that you deleted my post. I just wanted the guide fixed, especially if you were making it public. Thanks.

Just gave it another look. MUCH better! Now it's a good guide.

Totally understand and I'm sorry for screwing up your run. It's really hard to write an all-encompassing guide because as you said, it totally depends on what you are working with. Should add a disclaimer not to follow what I say down to the letter but to take it into consideration.
The guide was just my initial thoughts but I'll do another video on my closing thoughts for Stage I around my arena payout time.
Anything else you would like changed/added? I'm pretty sure as a mod, you are able to edit posts yourself and of course I don't mind since you probably have more firsthand experience than I do since I was only able to field one decent squad.
EDIT: I've been making changes throughout the day and it has definitely changed significantly from when I first put it up

No, I wouldn't alter your work. I'd consider that an abuse of my mod privs to change something that anyone wrote, just over a difference of opinion. No, I wouldn't suggest any other changes. It does look really good now. Very well done, and thanks again! It was a good video too!

Perhaps this was just the fact that there's a learning curve, but it seems to me there will always a built in damage disability for those that do Stage I vs the rancor stages. How will we plan on handling this?

I personally don't care as I don't think it makes a huge difference...look at iNstinct...they went 0/20 on useful gear
